Disneyland is having a celebration of sorts with the Pixar movies. In addition to the usual park experience, they have added food, entertainment, decorations, and multiple parades to celebrate the Pixar movies calling it Pixar Fest. As a result, today’s post will be about what is happening at the park’s in California right now regarding Pixar Fest.

Pixar Fest in Disneyland

Pixar Fest runs from April 13th through September 3rd, 2018.

Here is a quick outline of today’s blog.

  • Entertainment
  • Parades
  • Food
  • Merchandise

Pixar Fest in Disneyland

Entertainment

First of all, let’s get started with Entertainment. The Disneyland Resort doesn’t lack in this department, to begin with. However, with special celebrations, comes special entertainment.

Musical Groups

Some of the musical entertainment at the Disneyland Resort has added some Pixar songs to the mix. For instance, Dapper Dans, Main Street Piano Player, Royal Street Bachelor’s in New Orleans Square, and Disneyland Band have added: “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.”

Pixar Shorts Film Festival

On select dates, you can watch some of Pixar’s best short films in 3D in California Adventure.

Fireworks

Fireworks at Disneyland are the BEST! Disneyland’s nighttime fireworks show will be Pixar themed! Together Forever- A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular looks like a fascinating show! If you would like to see some clips of this fireworks show, check out FreshBaked on Youtube here. In fact, the video I linked shows pieces of Paint the Night Parade, some food, merchandise and then some of the fireworks show to wet your whistle.

Pixar Pals at Paradise Gardens

Disney’s California Adventure is the place to go to meet and greet some of the coolest Pixar characters during Pixar Fest. As a result, be sure to meet them and get an autograph or two. In addition to getting pictures with them!

Parades

Next, Disneyland has two Pixar Parades for you to enjoy!

Pixar Play Parade

Pixar Play Parade is inside of Disneyland right now. It has wonderfully themed floats from multiple Pixar movies. Such as Up, Incredibles, Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Inside Out and more!

Paint the Night Parade

Next, over in California Adventure at night, there is Paint the Night Parade! It used to be in Disneyland, but now it is in Disney’s California Adventure. In fact, Disney has also made a few changes to the parade. Adding some floats and taking a few away. As a matter of fact, having seen the original Paint the Night, I can tell you, do not miss it! It is amazing!

Food

Next, I would like to talk about some of the foods. So many foods and desserts, so little time! Disney has lots of choices all over both parks.

Alien Macaron

Disneyland has variations of macarons at the resort. In fact, depending on the time of year, determines the flavor/look of them. Right now they have the green aliens from the Toy Story movies.

Cheeseburger Pizza

Yes, you read that right. Cheeseburger Pizza. I saw this on a Youtube channel I follow called Magic Journey’s. They are great at showing all the Disney foods and treat’s around the Disneyland Resort. Here is the link to their Pixar Fest video with the Cheeseburger Pizza. I thought eww at first, but now I would like to try it.

Cocoa Churros

If you have ever been to Disneyland and had a churro, then you know how addicting these treats can be! Disney keeps rolling out all kinds of specialty colors and flavors of this treat. For example, for Pixar Fest, they have Cocoa Churros for you to try out.

Habanero Meatball Cone

If you are like me and enjoy a spicy kick to your foods, then you will be as excited as I am for this next food option. Habanero Meatball Cone is a spicy mac and cheese offering in Cars Land. It looks delicious!

Cake Pops

Another treat you can get at the Disneyland Resort for Pixar Fest is Cake Pops. For example, some of the designs they are offering are the Pixar Ball, Doug, Wall-E, and Eva. Cute designs that will make it difficult to devour. Well maybe. Snap a pic then dig in!

Candy Apples

Thought I forgot about those? No way! Disney has this delicious treat available for Pixar Fest. For instance, they have ones that look like the Pixar Ball, Nemo, and Dory from Finding Nemo and Finding Dory, and Hamm from Toy Story. Apples covered in caramel and chocolate… Okay, wiping up the drool now. I am sure it is just as yummy as all the other candy apples that Disney has to offer. (Can you tell I am a fan?)

Here is an article I did about the Disneyland Resort candy apples.

Merchandise

What celebration would be complete without shopping options? During Pixar Fest, you can get all sorts of fun souvenirs around the Disneyland Resort. For example, T-shirts, hats, ears, cups, plush, toys, and trading pins to name a few.

Was that a few? Or a few too many…

Here is where you can find some Pixar Fest items:
