Height requirements may come into play if you have little ones with you on your trip to the Disneyland Resort. Which more likely than not you will have them in tow. In this case, you may be wondering what rides your little ones can enjoy. Therefore, today I thought that I would share height requirements of the Disneyland Resort rides. This way you will know what attractions the kids can ride and which ones to use rider switch.
Disneyland Resort Rides Height Requirements
As my friend’s kids are growing, her daughter is asking if she is big enough for some of the rides she wasn’t able to ride before. As a result, that got me to thinking about the height requirements of the rides at the Disneyland Resort. Being that I do not have kids myself, therefore, I generally do not pay attention to the height requirements. However, after traveling with my friend and her daughter to the Disneyland Resort a few years ago and also talking with my other friend about taking her kids to Disneyland, I thought now is a good time to look into the height requirements and share them with you!
First of all, this listing is according to size. Smallest to tallest. As I was writing this post, I got to thinking that maybe some of you would like to have the listing by the park. Therefore, if you would like a listing according to the parks, I will have it at the bottom of this first list.
Any Height
First on the list for height requirements is any height. Any height means any height. Whether you have a little baby or a jolly giant, they can ride these attractions. Although if you have a giant, leg room may be an issue… 😉 However, just because they can, doesn’t mean that they will want to. For example, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride is a bit wild and fast (for kids), and Astro Orbitor spins quickly and goes high up with the feeling of you being pushed outwards. Therefore, you may not want to take babies on those types of attractions.

Rider Switch
Hopefully, all of your little ones will be able to experience these attractions at Disneyland. However, if you do have some kids in tow that are too small this trip, there is an option for you to use so that you and any older/taller kids can ride the attractions with taller height requirements. It is called Rider Switch. This way one parent can ride with the older kids while the other waits with the small ones. Then when the first group is done, the second group can then go in either through the exit or Fastpass line (depending on the attraction) and get on the ride without having to wait twice in the regular line.
If you would like more details on the Rider Switch option, here is a post I did explaining it in more detail.
