With everything that there is to do at the Disneyland Resort, time can be an issue! Disneyland tries to help out by offering Dining Packages that holds a spot for you at one of their many nighttime shows, parades, and even some daytime parades and shows. Today I would like to help you know what Disneyland Dining Packages are offered and other tips to know before your visit.

Disneyland Dining Packages

Disneyland Dining Packages are a great way to get a voucher for a spot to view some of the shows and parades around Disneyland Park. Instead of trying to get a FastPass first thing in the morning or arriving hours prior to the show or parade and holding a spot for your party, purchasing a Disneyland Dining Package will save you that time.

Disneyland Dining Packages

What are Dining Packages?

First of all, Dining Packages at the Disneyland Resort is a meal that you purchase that includes a voucher (pass) to gain access to a specific viewing spot for a show or parade. Most of the meals are a 3-course meal. However, Disneyland also offers a meal on the go if you don’t want to be dining in the restaurant.

For example, if you were to purchase a Fantasmic Dining Package and choose Blue Bayou Restaurant, you would be able to eat inside the restaurant. It is a 3-course meal. Then afterward you would receive your passes to Fantasmic to have a place to see the show later that evening by the Rivers of America.

That is just one example. More on package offerings below.

What shows/parades offer Dining Packages?

Next, let’s see what shows or parades have a Disneyland Dining Package.

Disneyland Dining Packages and Prices

Now we will see what each Disneyland Dining Package offers along with the cost of each of these packages. Unfortunately, it is not free. However, this is a great way to save time during your trip and you are going to eat anyway during your trip right?

Pixar Play Parade Dining Package

First, is the Pixar Play Parade in Disneyland. This Dining Package is the first one to be offered for a daytime parade. People will start lining up and saving a spot an hour or more ahead of parade time. Therefore, having a Dining Package that will reserve a spot for you and your group will save you time!

The restaurant for the Pixar Play Parade Dining Package is Plaza Inn. As a result of this being one of my favorite places to eat at Disneyland, I think this is a great Dining Package!

Each Pixar Play Parade Dining Package includes:
  • Picnic style lunch. For adults, chicken, white cheddar macaroni and cheese, lemon-thyme green beans, watermelon feta cheese salad, and a beverage. The kid’s meal is chicken tenders, white cheddar macaroni and cheese, choice of a side, and a beverage. (Salmon and Vegetarian choices are available upon request at time of reserving).
  • Voucher to the reserved viewing area for Pixar Play Parade.

Therefore,  being that it is a picnic style lunch, you can eat it at Plaza Inn or you take it somewhere else in the park to enjoy.

Price of the Pixar Play Parade Dining Package

$39.99 + tax per adult

$24.00 + tax per child (ages 3-9)

Fantasmic! Dining Package

Next, is the Fantasmic! Dining Package in Disneyland, which has multiple dining location options.

Each Fantasmic! Dining Package includes:
  • 3-course prix fixe meal (appetizer, entree, dessert) at Blue Bayou Restaurant or River Belle Terrace.
  • Your ticket to the reserved viewing area.

  • Dinner starts at 4 p.m. $69 + tax per adult and $29 + tax per child (ages 3-9).

Fantasmic! On the Go Dining Package

Another Disneyland Dining Package option for Fantasmic! is an On-The-Go choice. If you are not wanting to spend the time for a 3-course meal, you can pick a faster on the go package.

Each Dining Package includes:
  • A meal at the Hungry Bear Restaurant from 3-8:30 pm (subject to time change). Choose from 4 different entrees. Cedar salt-roasted salmon, blackberry barbecue pork riblets, barbecue chicken or leek frittata. All of these choices come with wild rice cranberry/apricot grains, and kale and garbanzo bean salad.
  • Your ticket to the reserved viewing area.
Price of the Fantasmic! On-The-Go Dining Package
  • $29.99 + tax per adult
  • $19.99 + tax per child (ages 3-9)

Reservations

Since the Disneyland Dining Packages are extremely popular and there is limited space for the viewing area, therefore, you will need to make a reservation ahead of time. You can make reservations online or by calling the Disney dining number at (714) 781-DINE (3463) between 7 AM and 7 PM.

Another thing you will want to keep in mind regarding your reservations is that depending on what time you reserve your meal, it will determine what show time or parade time your voucher will be good for. Make sure you ask and write it down!

Know before you reserve

Finally, there are some things you will want to know before you make these reservations.

First, is to be aware that if the show or parade is canceled for any reason (weather, technical difficulties, etc.), No refunds will be given.

Second, the reserved viewing areas are separate from the restaurant areas. Therefore, this means you won’t be eating and watching the show at the restaurant you are getting your meal from. The only option for eating and watching Fantasmic! is the River Belle Terrace. You can upgrade your package to a premium 8 pm Disneyland Dining Package at River Belle Terrace for an additional $25 per adult and $15 per child (ages 3-9).

Third, you must have a separate theme park entrance ticket in addition to these Disneyland Dining Packages, as a result of the packages not including park admission.

Finally, you will need to make reservations ahead of time in order to make sure you will be able to get one of these Disneyland Dining Packages. Reservations can be made starting 60 days prior to your trip.

In Conclusion

Disneyland Dining Packages can be a great way to save time during your Disneyland vacation. Be sure to check out all the options and times before your next trip. Also, don’t forget to make reservations ahead of time!
