Recently I did a post about Disneyland Dining Packages. As a result, I decided to do one on the California Adventure Dining Packages as well. This way you will know what shows and parades offer these packages before you visit so you can reserve ahead of time. They are a time saver!

California Adventure Dining Packages

Just like the Dining Packages at Disneyland, the California Adventure Dining Packages are the same. By reserving a Dining Package before your vacation, you can get a meal and a voucher to the reserved viewing area for the specific show or parade that you reserved. This way it will save you time trying to get there hours in advance or racing to get a FastPass when the park first opens.

Reservations

As a result of the California Adventure Dining Packages being extremely popular and limited space for the viewing area, you will need to make a reservation ahead of time. You can make reservations online or by calling the Disney dining number at (714) 781-DINE (3463) between 7 AM and 7 PM.

Know before you reserve

Finally, there are some things you will want to know before you make these reservations.

First, is to be aware that if the show or parade is canceled for any reason (weather, technical difficulties, etc.), NO refunds will be given.

Second, the reserved viewing areas are separate from the restaurant areas. Therefore, this means you won’t be eating and watching the show at the restaurant you are getting your meal from.

Third, you must have a separate theme park entrance ticket in addition to these Disneyland Dining Packages, as a result of the packages not including park admission.

Next, if you are going to cancel your reservations, make sure to do that before 24 hours prior. If you wait till after that time you will be charged $10 per person for a cancelation fee.

Another thing you will want to know before you reserve is that if you plan on ordering alcohol during your meal there will be an extra charge for those.

Finally, you will need to make reservations ahead of time in order to make sure you will be able to get one of these California Adventure Dining Packages. Reservations can be made starting 60 prior to your trip. In addition to needing to be 18 or older to reserve, you will also need a credit card.

Bonus Package

Even though this next package is technically not a Califonia Adventure Dining Package, however, it is a wonderful option to view World of Color, therefore, I am including it in this separate section. It is called World of Color Dessert Party.

By having a World of Color Dessert Party reservation, it makes you a party guest that gets a special seat to view World of Color. This is a designated sitting area to view the show. Yes, I said sit! You can sit down to enjoy the show instead of standing.

Like we don’t do enough of that all day at the Disneyland Resort…

Therefore, by making a reservation for the Dessert Party, it would be a welcome relief plus a wonderful view! In addition to getting a dessert tray to enjoy during the show!

Each World of Color Dessert Party includes:
  • Sweet and savory desserts served with sparkling beverages.
  • Reserved seating.
Price of the World of Color Dessert Party:
  • $84 per person. Includes tax and gratuity.

For more information on the World of Color Dessert Party, go to Disneyland’s official website here.

Know Before You Reserve

All of the same know before you reserve information listed above for the other packages apply to this package as well. In addition to a few more things:

First, Dessert Party Packages will not be refunded unless the show is canceled by park management.

Second, full payment is required at time of booking.

Third, cancelations must be prior to 24 hours in advance.

Next, full charges apply for no-shows.

Finally, the seated viewing area is shared seating. Which means you may be seated with other guests.

In Conclusion

California Adventure Dining Packages can be a great way to save time during your Disneyland vacation. Therefore, be sure to check out all the options and times before your next trip. Also, don’t forget to make reservations ahead of time!
